
Understanding Risk Global Forum
(UR Abu Dhabi)
Abu Dhabi will host the 9th edition of the Understanding Risk Global Forum 2027 (UR27), organized by the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi(ADCMC) in partnership with the World Bank’s Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). Taking place from 10-14 May 2027, at ADNEC Centre, the five-day event will bring together over 1,500 global experts, decision-makers, and organizations.
The forum covers a wide range of themes and topics related to disaster risk assessment, including among others climate and disaster resilience, the application of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, for disaster risk management and emergency response, risk communication as well as disaster risk financing.

The primary objective of the “Understanding Risk Global Forum “ is to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange among various stakeholders involved in disaster risk management, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, academia, private sector entities, and communities
