National Guard Command delegation visits ADCMC

 

Abu Dhabi, UAE - 21 February 2024: A delegation from the National Guard Command, led by Brigadier General Ahmed Hassan Al Zaabi, Deputy Commander of the National Guard, visited the Abu Dhabi Emergencies Crises and Disasters Management Centre (ADCMC), where they were warmly received by His Excellency Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Acting Director General of the ADCMC.

The visit aims to strengthen cooperation and foster joint efforts in exchanging experiences and learning about global best practices. The ADCMC showcased its proactive measures in preparing strategies and plans for managing emergencies, crises, and disasters. It highlighted its pivotal role in coordinating with various entities to develop emergency and crisis management systems, enhancing capabilities, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to bolster Abu Dhabi's emergency response capabilities.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the Centre's activities and programs designed to enhance crisis readiness across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. They reviewed coordination mechanisms and unified procedures aimed at elevating and developing response capabilities. Special attention was given to the Crisis Management Platform project, which facilitates the timely dissemination of critical data to support decision-making and communication among relevant entities, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of emergency response efforts.

Furthermore, the delegation was acquainted with the Centre's initiatives for managing and assessing risks. This includes the development of response plans for identified and potential risks based on comprehensive studies and research, ensuring that they are effectively addressed and their impacts minimized. Additionally, efforts to raise awareness about the National Standard for Business Continuity Management System were highlighted, emphasizing workshops conducted for entities across both government and private sectors.
