Overview of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team – Emirate of Abu Dhabi:
The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi was established pursuant to Law No. (19) of 2012 and later updated under Law No. (22) of 2019, with the aim of enhancing the Emirate’s preparedness and response capabilities for emergencies, crises, and disasters.
The Team is responsible for approving the general policy, strategies, plans, and regulations related to emergency, crisis, and disaster management, ensuring a coordinated and integrated approach to risk management across the Emirate. It also oversees the management of emergency, crisis, and disaster operations at the local level, and implements prevention and preparedness measures in coordination with relevant entities.
In addition, the Team reviews and approves requests for activating alternative service, further strengthening the Emirate’s overall readiness and resilience.
